Sony TV

Since the very first broadcast occurred, viewers have embraced television and gone from a single set that became the focal point of the family’s living room, to television in almost every room of the house.

Sony TV

Not only has television taken the world by storm, but it has also advanced in picture quality and set size dramatically. From the initial black and white image on the screen to picture quality that is as close to ‘being there’ as technology can produce, Sony has been a world leader in producing televisions that are not only a pleasure to watch but also come packed with many additional features.

Today’s Sony television sets are extremely thin in comparison to the bulky, cumbersome sets of the early days. Gone are the huge wooden cabinets that so proudly housed the family’s one television set. The current trend is to have an as little viewable frame to the actual screen as possible to make the image appear to be just as one might see when looking out a window. LED has impacted television in such a way as to allow such great leading-edge manufacturers as Sony provide vivid, crystal-clear images that are as realistic as current technology allows. Sony is constantly striving to improve image quality, colour and clarity, though given the extremely high quality of the company’s television sets currently available, it seems nearly impossible to improve upon them. Yet Sony continues to research and develop, always with the customer’s viewing satisfaction in mind. Sound quality has also improved greatly, to the point that no matter where the viewer is sitting in relation to the television set, he or she can hear clearly.

Smart TV has added an entirely new dimension to television, allowing owners to now interact with their set in such a way as never known before. Viewers are able to speak directly at the set and receive either a vocal response from an intuitive computer program or have the television carry out the request without the viewer having to touch a button. Where once the advent of remote control to change volume and select channels was considered a great technological advancement, the remote is becoming redundant as more people choose to install Smart television sets in their homes.

Watching a movie on one of Sony’s 4K televisions is almost as good as going to a movie theatre, and arguably better in many ways. With high-quality colour, contrast, clarity and sound, the experience of watching a movie is as good as it gets – at least for now, or until Sony improves the quality of its products even more.

Sony Computer Monitors

Computer monitors have also undergone great change over the years, and as more people elect to add one or more additional monitors to their original one, the need for larger, clearer viewing screens has increased. Brilliant colour makes the monitors of yesteryear look lacklustre in comparison.

Sony Monitor

Sony produces computer monitors for home use, work situations, and for use in seminar halls and boardrooms. With a wide range of screen sizes, there is a Sony monitor available for every need. Just as the televisions have undergone vast improvements over the years, so too have monitors for computer-based usage. Again, frames have been minimised to ensure the largest viewing screen possible while keeping the overall size of the entire unit to a minimum. 4K has also been incorporated into monitors. The slender frame also lends itself well to being put side by side with another monitor for dual and multi-screen computer applications.

Sony computer monitors are widely used in fast-food restaurants to display menu items, at airports to display departure and arrival details for flights, and in a large number of offices around the world. They are, for the most part lightweight, making them easy to move from location to location, and offer the same high-quality sound and picture as seen in Sony televisions.

Sony dedicates itself to the research and development of televisions and computer monitors that are as environmentally friendly as possible, ensuring as little waste is produced once the unit reaches the end of its usable life. Many parts are recyclable, and Sony encourages buyers of their products to be responsible when disposing of used equipment.

Sony Audio

Right from the conception of the business, Sony recognised that music was an integral part of most people’s lives. It is possibly the very reason that the company’s first product to enter the American market was the hugely popular Sony Walkman, a handheld personal cassette player that could be taken everywhere.
